Who I am
Gonzo Creations is a one-person website design studio run by Daniel Horan ("I", "me"), based in Denver, Colorado, and working with businesses worldwide. This policy explains what information I collect through gonzocreations.com (the "site"), how I use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email dan@gonzocreations.com.
What I collect
Information you give me. When you fill in the contact form, book a call, or email me, I collect what you provide, such as your name, email address, business name, website, your message and anything else you choose to include. If you become a client, I also keep the project and billing details needed to do the work and get paid.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, my hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
I don't ask for, and ask that you don't send, sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers or health information.
How I use it
- To reply to your message and schedule your call
- To give you a quote and, if you hire me, to design, build and support your website
- To send invoices and handle payments
- To keep the site secure and working properly
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements
I won't add you to a marketing email list unless you ask to be added. If you ever receive a marketing email from me, it will include a way to unsubscribe.
What I don't do
I don't sell your personal information, and I don't share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing. There are no advertising trackers on this site.
Who I share it with
I share information only with service providers that help me run the business, and only as much as they need to do their job. These include my website host, the service that delivers contact-form messages to my inbox, my scheduling service (Cal.com), my email provider, and payment processors. These providers handle information on my behalf and aren't allowed to use it for their own purposes. I may also share information if the law requires it, to protect my rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. The fonts are stored on this site, so no outside font service receives your information when a page loads. Calls are booked through Cal.com, a scheduling service. The "Book a free call" buttons take you to my booking page on Cal.com, where the name, email, phone number and notes you enter are used to schedule the call, and Cal.com may use cookies needed for booking to work. Cal.com's own privacy policy applies on its pages. This site itself doesn't load any Cal.com code. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Do Not Track. Because I don't track visitors across other websites, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.
How long I keep it
I keep messages from people who don't become clients for up to 2 years, then delete them. I keep client records for as long as needed to support your site and to meet tax and legal requirements, typically up to 7 years.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me at any time to show you the personal information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email dan@gonzocreations.com and I'll respond within 30 days. I may need to confirm your identity first, and I may keep some information where the law requires it. I'll never treat you differently for making a request.
Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado or another state with a consumer privacy law), you may have additional rights. I honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me information, contact me and I'll delete it.
Security
I use reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections and keeping access limited to me and the services listed above. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.

This site may link to other websites. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
